Make new friends, eat good food, learn new things. And do a bit of flying ;-)
The Moustache Boogie is our way of putting together everyone who says they want to hang out or learn to fly Moustaches with us.
Gourmet food and accomodation are always included. All you gotta do is show up.
Reserve a spot in a 2027 boogie if you wanna join!
The boogie normally starts around 6:30-7am when everyone gets up and has breakfast in their cabin.
Around 8am we start driving to the location that we've chosen the night before. We meet at the cable car, distribute gear to everyone, and start flying by 9am usually.
We normally take a break around lunch time when it gets bumpy. Sometimes it's cloudy or the valley wind is weaker and people can keep flying all day.
Then Natalie and I usually head back to the cabin to start preparing dinner for everyone. We normally have 2-3 BBQs, one curry, and one pasta night. And every night is tiramisu night :-)
We normally have 1-2 vegetarians and make a vegetarian alternative for them.
The ideal equipment for the Dolomites Moustache Boogie is:
Moustache 13m/15m
Line 13m/15m
Bandit 10m/13m/16m
For beginners we usually start on a Scout 19m or a Moustache 18m/22m and then work our way down as you progress.
For most people in this terrain, the ideal wing is a Moustache 13m or 15m for the best balance of launch characteristics, glide, and line type suitable for the mountains (sheathed dyneema).
We prefer that you have your own gear and we can help you find a good deal on used gear if you sign up in advance.
If you don't have your own gear, we can rent you ours for €250 for the 5 days so that you can try every different size and model of wing.
Our groups are mixed between total beginners, intermediate, and advanced. We fly in places with big open grass fields for landing that are fun for every experience level.
The minimum experience level for beginners is either to have some background in paragliding (1-2 years) or skydiving (50+ jumps).
You don't need to be good at ground handling/reverse launching. Ideally, all of our flying is done with forward launches since we fly when the air is still calm and we stop once it gets strong/thermic. We do some training at the beginning to practice forwards launches on the Moustache and we start on a flat, grassy golf course as you get used to it.
Most days will start around 7-8am where we'll have breakfast at the big main AirBNB.
We'll decide as a group where to fly depending on the wind:
If there is west wind, we'll fly in the morning and then come home for lunch time. And then fly a second session in the afternoon before coming home for dinner around 8pm.
If there is east wind, we'll all shuttle together across to the east side of Denmark for a longer continuous flying session.
If there isn't enough wind to soar, we do have the option of showing you how to safely hand-tow behind a car with a short 5-10 meter rope.
Natalie and I will prepare dinner and lunch for the next day every afternoon. Our menus are usually chosen based on the weather--If it's good flying weather then we pick something more simple, if it's a low wind day then we'll pick something fancier.
Every night is tiramisu night :-) And if you're vegetarian, we'll make an alternative serving for you.
The ideal equipment for the Denmark Boogie is:
13-15m for strong days
16-19m for normal days
22-26m for weaker days
But for most people around 75kg, a Moustache 18m or a Bandit 19m will cover 90% of the wind conditions we'll have.
We prefer that you have your own gear and we can help you find a good deal on used gear if you sign up in advance.
If you don't have your own gear, we can rent you ours for €350 for the 7 days so that you can try every different size and model of wing.
Our groups are mixed between total beginners, intermediate, and advanced. We find people learn much faster in this environment where everyone is watching and learning from each other.
The minimum experience level for beginners is either to have some background in paragliding (1-2 years) or skydiving (50+ jumps). We don't teach total beginners, for that we recommend our friends over at Speedflyingschool.com or Prospeedflying.com (EU) or Speedfly.com (USA)
If you don't know how to ground handle or kite your wing, don't worry. The beach is the easiest and safest place to learn and you'll be reverse launching better than most mountain pilots within a couple days.

Lunches are up to everyone whether they want to keep flying or come back to the cabins.
